Just a few days back, the Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry rolled out BlackBerry 10.2.1 for BlackBerry 10 OS based devices. Now BlackBerry OS 10.3 has been leaked online. The screenshots of the BlackBerry 10.3 OS running on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone were spotted on Spanish forum ZonaBlackBerry.
The screenshots allegedly showcase the upcoming BlackBerry OS v10.3.0.140 iteration. If the images are to be believed the new BlackBerry 10.3 OS will come with new features and capabilities for users, making the interface more interactive.
It looks that company is also testing a virtual assistant for the new version of the BlackBerry 10 OS based devices, spotted as an icon for Intelligent Assistant in the screenshots. Also seen in the alleged screenshots is what looks like a smart search feature.
The icon shadows on the home screen are gone and the theme puts an emphasis on red and blue shades. The music player’s play button has been given more space and the keyboard has been given a new layout along with a new color scheme.
The camera interface seems to have been updated as well, with the new timer and panorama modes. There’s also a new HDR suggestion mode which activates when the conditions are apt. As for the camera, the option to record in 720p at 30 fps and 60 has seemingly been added too.
It’s also ditched the boxes around the app icons, added a new keyboard layout and colour scheme, and made a few other design tweaks that gives the OS a cleaner, more minimalist feel.
There’s no information as to when the BlackBerry 10.3 update will be released. Once again we should note that these screenshots might not be the real deal and could simply be a fan imagining of what BlackBerry 10.3 should look like.
